Rockstar's limited Goodtime State – Vice City Collection box arrives November 19 and does not include the game. It is joined by a wider GTA VI range at the Rockstar Store. Here is what is in each.
Rockstar has put two lots of Grand Theft Auto VI merchandise on sale ahead of launch. Neither includes the game.
The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection
Announced on September 24, this is a limited-edition collector's box themed on Macca the Gator, which Rockstar describes as Leonida's hit TV show. It ships on November 19 and is sold while supplies last. Rockstar's post lists the contents:
A 6-inch Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment. Matte black GTA VI Oakley Frogskins with Prizm Sapphire lenses. A New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback with Vice City Leonida embellishments. A Macca the Gator magnetic mirror. A Vice City swizzle spoon. A Vice City razor-blade keychain. A Leonida Keys crossbody bag. A Chunkee the Manatee shot glass. A Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a metal tin. Stickers in a stash bag. A double-sided poster of the full Leonida landscape.
Rockstar's announcement does not state a price; the Rockstar Store listing was reported at $399.99. The game is sold separately, and Rockstar says pre-orders for Asia, Latin America and Australia will follow.
The objects are a joke at Leonida's expense
A stash compartment, a swizzle spoon, a razor-blade keychain and a mirror are not subtle — this is the same satirical voice as the game, applied to a box set.
The Rockstar Store GTA VI Collection
Launched on October 8: heavyweight tees with the VI or Rockstar logo in black, blue and pink; Goodtime State and Macca the Gator tees inspired by outfits from the Ultimate Edition; Flexfit caps with palm trees inside the VI logo; a chrome keychain; a two-sided Vice City money clip; a Vice City Zippo lighter; canvas totes and sticker sets. Rockstar says more is coming.
Worth knowing
This is separate from the game's own editions. The $99.99 Ultimate Edition is digital content, and the boxed game is a download code. If you want something physical on your shelf on November 19, this, the album on vinyl, or a limited-edition controller is it.
