GTA 6 Missions

No jobs on the board yet.
Here's what shapes them.

Rockstar has shown mission gameplay but has not named a single GTA 6 mission. Below is everything it has said about how the work is built and who hands it out — and our walkthroughs go up as the game is played, from November 19, 2026.

How the work is built

No mission has been named, but the systems around them have been described. Each card says whether it is Rockstar's own word or a preview's account of it, and where it came from.

  • Official

About 80 hours, with optional work that matters

Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, said his own playthrough took around 80 hours — and that it included optional goals with consequences for the story. Side work is not filler on this account.

  • Official

The story will not show you everything

Part of the story’s job is to move you around Leonida, but Rockstar has said plainly that it will not take you everywhere. Most of a map roughly twice GTA V’s size is left for you to find.

  • Official

A Criminal Profile that reads your choices

A reputation system building on Red Dead Redemption 2’s honour: needless escalation counts against you, doing what a job requires does not. “There isn’t a right or wrong way to play this game,” Nelson said.

  • Official

    Six wanted stars

The wanted level now runs to six stars, one more than GTA V — the ceiling on how bad a job can get once it goes loud.

  • Reported

Jason and Lucia, between the jobs

Their relationship grows through what they do together outside the main missions, and Rockstar says looking after it “will definitely have a bearing on how their story plays out”. It is optional, and it carries no gameplay bonus.

  • Reported

Tools are earned through the story

Parked cars have to be broken into, and the better-protected ones need tools — a slim jim, a key cloner — that are unlocked as the story goes on. Missions are part of how you equip yourself, not only what you equip for.

Who hands out the work

The people whose official biographies describe them offering jobs, recruiting, or already employing Jason. The biographies are Rockstar's; the line under each is our reading of what it means for the missions.

  • Raul Bautista

A seasoned bank robber operating around Vice City — confidence, charm, and cunning in equal measure, always hunting for talent willing to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards. Raul's recklessness raises the stakes with every score, and sooner or later his crew will have to double down or walk away.

Our readA bank robber recruiting talent is the clearest description of a job-giver anywhere in Rockstar’s material, and the Launch Trailer’s vault suggests where that leads.

  • Brian Heder

A classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys, now letting others do the dirty work. Brian still moves product through his boat yard — Brian's Boat Works & Marina — alongside his third wife Lori, and rents Jason a place in exchange for help with local shakedowns. Looks like a Leonida beach bum; moves like a great white shark.

Our readJason already works for him — shakedowns and moving product, in exchange for a roof. Expect the Keys to start with Brian’s errands.

  • Boobie Ike

A local Vice City legend who turned his years in the streets into a legitimate empire spanning real estate, the Jack of Hearts strip club, and a recording studio. All smiles until it's time to talk business, Boobie's real investment is Only Raw Records, the label he runs with young music mogul Dre'Quan Priest — they just need a hit.

Our readClubs, property and a record label: the kind of empire that needs things done quietly, and the bridge into Vice City’s music scene.

  • Dre'Quan Priest

Always more hustler than gangster, Dre'Quan dealt on the streets to make ends meet while chasing his real goal: breaking into music. Now a partner in Boobie Ike's Only Raw Records and the man who signed Real Dimez, he has his sights set on the wider Vice City scene — even if that means outgrowing the strip-club circuit that started him.

Our readThe label side of Boobie’s business and the Real Dimez story run through him — work with an ambition attached rather than just a payout.

Built for launch day

What every GTA 6 mission guide here will carry once the game is out. This is a description of our format, not of the game — nothing in it is a claim about a mission that exists.

  • Every objective, in order

The steps as the game sets them, written up from play — not from a trailer, a leak or a guess.

  • Where it starts

The mission’s contact and location, pinned on the interactive map and linked to the place in the database.

  • Who is involved

Every character in the mission, linked to their profile, so a name you do not recognise is one click from who they are.

  • Choices and what they change

Where a decision matters — to the story, your Criminal Profile or a relationship — we say what it is and what follows from it.

  • What it unlocks

Rewards, the vehicles, weapons and tools a mission opens up, and the missions it leads to next.

  • Labelled like everything else

Each guide says how it was verified. Until a step has been played through, it is marked as unconfirmed.

What nobody knows yet

The questions asked most about GTA 6's missions, answered with what has actually been said — which, for most of them, is nothing yet.

How many missions are there?

Not announced. Rockstar has given a length — about 80 hours for one playthrough including optional goals — but no mission count, and any number you see is an estimate.

Are there heists with planning, like GTA V?

Not confirmed. Robbery is all over the official material — a bank robber in the cast, a vault in the Launch Trailer, a store hold-up in Trailer 1 — but Rockstar has not described how a heist is structured or planned.

Do my choices change the ending?

Rockstar has said that optional goals and the relationship between Jason and Lucia affect how the story plays out. Whether that extends to multiple endings has not been said.

Can I choose who plays a mission?

Partly. The Extended Look shows switching between Jason and Lucia, and previews of it describe swapping mid-chase so one drives while the other shoots. How missions are assigned between them, and how freely you can switch, has not been explained.

Is there a mission rating or replay?

Unknown. Rockstar has not mentioned medals, ratings or a replay menu for GTA VI.

Are there online or co-op missions?

GTA VI launches as a single-player game. Rockstar has not dated or described an online mode.
