Rockstar has named six of GTA VI's radio stations, including a returning Flash FM, and confirmed a series first: podcasts and radio you can listen to on foot through Jason and Lucia's phones.
Rockstar detailed the first six Grand Theft Auto VI radio stations on October 8, and promised they are only part of the list — the full line-up runs from classic rock to talk radio, in what the company calls the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio in the series.
Cocoteo FM
Modern Latin music — bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton — hosted by El Martillo and La Gata.
Back Country Radio
Renegade country from hosts MW and Delta Dawne, broadcasting to the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn, with Delta's “not-so-secret lover” Mud Dog Mike reporting from his airboat in the swamp.
AfroBank FM
African music from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step, curated by Burna and Palmsy.
The Chamber 106.6
Metal, hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. It is the only station Rockstar has given a frequency.
Flash FM
A returning name: the pop station first heard in Vice City in 2002 is back, now hosted by Robyn and Alex.
Dirty South Classics
Southern rap and hip-hop classics from Trick and Trina.
Who the hosts are
Rockstar's post uses the hosts' on-air names only. Outlets have widely reported them as the artists those names suggest — Bad Bunny, Morgan Wallen, Burna Boy, Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya, Robyn, and Trick Daddy and Trina among them. Rockstar has not published a cast list, so treat the names as reported, not announced.
The real first: you can listen on foot
For the first time in the series, Jason and Lucia carry headphones and earbuds linked to their phones, so radio is no longer something that stops when you leave a car. Rockstar is also adding on-demand podcasts — another series first — though none has been named.
Not to be confused with the album
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is a separate release of 34 new songs. Previews of all six stations are on the music section of the official site.
