Rockstar Reveals the GTA 6 Cover Art — and a New Logo

The box art landed in the series' nine-panel tradition, alongside a refreshed GTA VI logo and a redesigned Rockstar Games logo rolled out across every account.

On June 18, 2026, five months from launch, Rockstar published the Grand Theft Auto VI cover art and announced that pre-orders would open on June 25.

The box art keeps the format the series has used since Grand Theft Auto III: a mosaic of panels, nine of them, each a separate illustrated vignette, with a helicopter occupying the top-left panel. A central figure anchors the composition in the tradition of the Vice City cover it visibly echoes. Rockstar released it alongside a third piece of Jason and Lucia key art set against the Vice City skyline, and wallpapers in multiple aspect ratios.

Two logo changes shipped with it. The GTA VI wordmark gained a fully white inner border plus an added outer border. More conspicuously, the Rockstar Games logo itself was redesigned — a white R* on a purple-to-pink gradient, flanked by two palm trees — and rolled out across Rockstar's social accounts. A publisher does not change its corporate logo for a normal release.

One detail is worth recording because of how it was covered: this announcement did not include a price. VGC's headline that day read "but still no price"; GamesRadar's said Rockstar "still won't give us a price." That silence held for six more days, which is precisely why so much unofficial pricing circulated and why some of it is still quoted today. Rockstar published the real figures on June 24.
