The Community Map Reaches v13: Leonida, Reconstructed

Published Covers GTA6DB Staff1 min read

1,500+ markers and counting — the collaborative map project that turned trailer frames into cartography.

On June 24, 2026, the GTA 6 Mapping Community shipped version 13 of its collaborative Leonida map — the evidence-driven reconstruction built from trailer frames, screenshot geometry, and coordinate analysis since 2022.

The interactive map at map.stateofleonida.net now carries over 1,500 markers across landmark, trailer, and screenshot categories, with a contributor leaderboard and real-life comparison games layered on top.

GTA6DB's own map reconstruction is geometrically informed by this project's work, with our thanks — it remains the gold standard of pre-release GTA cartography, and its accuracy record from the GTA V era suggests Leonida will look very familiar on launch day.
