GTA 6 Claims That Are Circulating and Are Simply False

Search results for Grand Theft Auto VI are dominated by sites that rank well and verify nothing. This page lists claims currently circulating as fact that are false or unresolved, each checked against a first-party source. We maintain it as things change.
"There is a Deluxe or Collector's Edition."
False. Rockstar's June 24, 2026 press release names exactly two editions: Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99. The PlayStation Store product pages list two. Claims of a £129.99 Collector's Edition trace to low-quality SEO sites and are invented.
"The UK standard price is £74.99."
False. The first-party PlayStation Store UK listing shows £69.99 standard and £89.99 Ultimate. Aggregators repeating £74.99 are wrong.
"GTA 6 is rated Mature by the ESRB."
Not established. The press release states the game "is not yet rated." A Mature rating appeared in PlayStation marketing emails in May 2026, which is a marketing-system placeholder rather than an ESRB determination. The series has always been rated M and almost certainly will be again — but as of today no rating has been assigned.
"Here are the GTA 6 PC system requirements."
Fabricated, all of them. Rockstar has never acknowledged a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. Every pipeline table, press release and store listing lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PC SKU, no PC date, and therefore no requirements to publish. For context, GTA V's PC version arrived about eighteen months after console launch.
"The install size is 150GB"
— or 100, or 200. Rockstar has published no install size. Every figure in circulation is an outlet's estimate extrapolated from other open-world games.
"Here is the GTA 6 radio station and soundtrack list."
Not official. Rockstar has published no station list and no track list. The only confirmed music is what is audible in the two released trailers. Everything else is leak-derived or invented, and we do not publish it.
"Pre-orders opened on May 18, 2026."
They did not. That date came from a genuine Best Buy affiliate email, verified as authentic by Insider Gaming — and it was still wrong. Pre-orders opened on June 25, five and a half weeks later. Retailer systems are not announcements.
"Journalists have played GTA 6."
No. A February 2026 flurry about press previews traced back to a joke by Greg Miller of Kinda Funny, which he subsequently confirmed was a joke. No hands-on event, embargo or preview has occurred or been announced.
"Trailer 3 is coming on [date]."
No trailer 3 has been released or announced, and Rockstar has given no date. Every window you have read is outlet speculation, most of it pegged to Take-Two's August 7, 2026 earnings call.
"A disc version is coming in December."
Unconfirmed. It originates with a single Polish retail site and Rockstar has said nothing. The confirmed physical release is a download code in a box, dated November 12.
