How big is the GTA 6 map?

Leonida is widely estimated at roughly 2 to 2.5× the size of GTA 5’s map — on the order of 125 km² of land across its six regions, before counting water. That number comes from the community’s trailer-derived reconstructions, not from Rockstar: no official figure for the map’s size has ever been published, and anyone quoting one precisely is quoting a fan estimate. What official footage does show is a single continuous world, with no loading screen shown between regions.

GTA 6 map — FAQ

How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar has never published a size for the GTA 6 map. Community reconstructions assembled from trailer footage put Leonida at roughly 2 to 2.5 times the playable land area of GTA 5 — on the order of 125 km² across its six regions — but that figure is derived from trailer geometry, not measured in-game, and no official number exists.
Is the GTA 6 map bigger than GTA 5?
Almost certainly yes, though by how much is unconfirmed. The reconstructions that fans have assembled from trailer footage put Leonida at roughly twice the playable land area of Los Santos and Blaine County, before counting water. Rockstar has not published a size.
Where is GTA 6 set?
In Leonida, a fictional US state based on Florida, centred on a modern Vice City and reaching out to the Leonida Keys, the inland swamps and the small towns beyond them. It is the first time the series has returned to Vice City in a mainline, current-era game.
What regions are in the GTA 6 map?
Six are named so far: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Vice City itself divides into districts including Ocean Beach, South Beach, Little Haiti, Little Havana, the Venetian Islands and Ocean Drive.
Is there a loading screen between areas in GTA 6?
No loading screens have been shown between regions in any official footage, and the map is presented as one continuous world. Rockstar has not made a formal statement either way.
Is this the official GTA 6 map?
No. It is an independent, community-built reference assembled from official trailers, screenshots and credible reporting; unconfirmed locations are labelled as rumored until Rockstar confirms them.
How accurate are the pin positions?
The places are real — each one is documented from official material or credible reporting. The coordinates are estimates: they are plotted onto a community reconstruction of the map, not read out of the game, so a pin marks roughly where a location sits rather than exactly.

Community-built and unofficial — not affiliated with Rockstar Games. Locations are compiled from trailers, screenshots and reporting; rumored entries are labelled.
